Flare Films is run by photographer and filmmaker Judith Burrows. In 1992, following graduation with a first class degree in Photography, Film and Video, her first film Georgia, a highly acclaimed short drama, was invited to the London Film Festival and subsequently screened at festivals around the world. It was then distributed in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Turkey. Her second short drama Saving Grace was nominated for a BIFA award, and screened at Edinburgh and Welsh film festivals amongst others and was transmitted in Ireland and on BBC2.
